What does Multi-Tables have to offer me?

Raise your game as you raise the number of hands you play per hour. Lower the frustration of that cruel bad beat as the variance of the game is smoothed, and walk away with more experience in a shorter time. If you’re beating the game playing just one table, chances are that multi-tabling will make you even more profitable, as you will be playing at least double the number of hands per hour. Online poker has overtaken the live game in popularity in recent years, and the ability to multi-table is one of the major reasons why.

Top Tips while Multi-Tabling

For those who haven’t yet tried the fast-paced action which multi-tabling provides, here are a few top tips to get you started:

Play where you are free from distraction

With so many more decisions to be made all the time, you’ll need to focus on the cards a lot more than when you only have one hand and five opponents to watch at once. There’s nothing worse than timing out or making a bad decision because you weren’t concentrating.

Start slowly

Arrange your tables in a manner in which you’re unlikely to miss out on anything accidentally – be smart when it comes to keeping an eye on your games, and don’t start off with as many as you can fit on your screen. Add tables one at a time until you are comfortable with the pace of the game.

Stagger your start

In tournaments, try at first to stagger their start times so you don’t end up at a crucial stage in four at once and find yourself hard pressed to make important decisions on many tables simultaneously.

Don’t rail yourself

Once you’ve made a decision and committed to it, move on to the next table at which action is coming back to you. This gives you more time to decide how to play each hand. If you’ve started with a sensible number of tables, you’ll find that you’ll soon easily be able to track the action without keeping your eyes glued to any particular table all the time.
