Despite many players being AWOL due to bonfire parties, 3 of the 4 events covered guarantee, with only the Main narrowly missing, and the Total Player Leaderboard is now coming to a climax. On with the detail.

UKOPS 36 | 7pm, £22 entry, £3,000 Bounty Hunter - gez_bear

Play got under way with a £3,000 Bounty Hunter that came in 48% above guarantee.

gez_bear has been with Sky Poker for 8 years and has won plenty of decent MTT's here, but this was their maiden UKOPS win. It is also his first decent win in over a year, thanks to the vagaries of variance. Kevilfish, very much in form, was making his fourth final table during this UKOPS, only TimmyRaRa with 5 finals has done better as far as I can recall.

With a final that included gez_bear, Kevilfish, Doobiefish, and blackcat23, it was more of a menagerie than an MTT.

UKOPS 37 | 8pm, £110 entry, £20,000 Bounty Hunter Main Event - shark_7094

The Main Event was a £20,000 Bounty Hunter which overlaid - not a sentence you will see here on Sky Poker very often. Bonfire night is the best excuse I can muster.

shark_7094 took the honours. I don't know of the player at all, except this is easily his or her biggest win on Sky Poker by some distance.

Runner-up mikey54 has had very little to shout about since returning to Sky Poker earlier this year, with no results of note, but 2nd place here gave him one of those wonderful vertical graphs on Sharky.

bearlyther was 9th, so he'll be beaming from ear to ear.

We can't often do this in a UKOPS event, but here's a photo of 4th placed glencoelad which was taken during the recent Sky Poker Punta Cana Adventure. Insert your own fish-based pun, and I'll mark them on a scale of 1 to 10.

UKOPS 38 | 9pm, £22 entry, £5,000 Bounty Hunter - ozzieowen

ozzieowen took this down, and this was his 2nd final table of the series. Arrogant, having an excellent UKOPS, was final table bubble on this occasion, but remains well placed in the Sky Poker UKOPS Total Player Leaderboard.

The other name which interested me was madmoo, who has been on Sky Poker for as many years as I can remember. I've not seen the moo-ster on the site for a goodly while, so great to see their return.

UKOPS 39 | 10pm, £55 entry, £4,000 Turbo Bounty Hunter - MUZOWNED

This was a sort of Sky Poker Celebrity UKOPS, with so many familiar names involved.

MUZOWNED completed a rare double, winning the closing UKOPS event on Friday, and then the closing event tonight. Both of them were identical format Turbo Bounty Hunters. He has another claim to fame, too - he has won 2 Super Rollers, and 2 UKOPS events. Can't be too many others who can boast that.

Arrogant, who was 7th in the previous event improved to 2nd. It was a second UKOPS XVII final table for SkootaT, ditto for SkyLofthou who won the UKOPS XVII Main Event on Thursday.

In 5th was Barrie26, who has plenty of UKOPS results on his CV, but this was his first of this series.

albania narrowly missed a 4th final table of the series, whilst Thursday's Main Event winner NIHIGHGUN also just missed out here. In 11th was The_Reflex, who won the closing UKOPS event on Wednesday.

Sky Poker UKOPS Total Player Leaderboard

This will be resolved tonight, but maybe not until the very last of the 43 events that make up UKOPS XVII. TimmyRaRa is now a narrow favourite in my book, but albania, gadgerno1, Melty, MUZOWNED, StayOrGo, paul10, TommyD and many others all remain well in contention if they can finish strongly.

The UKOPS XVII Finale

We wait ages for these affairs to come round, and then they seem to be over in a flash, but tonight we will see the finale of this particular UKOPS with 4 nice events, including a £40,000 guaranteed Main Event.  It's a Freezeout, so 15% of the field will be paid, which is the Sky Poker policy these days, and with 400 or more runners expected, the money will go down to 40th place or so.

The very best of luck if you plan to play.

Sky Poker Ambassador Neil Channing will be playing, and if you bust him, you get a £100 Bonus Bounty. Punish him.
